Everyday Makeup Looks for the On-The-Go Beauty Lover
Let’s face it – we’re all busy, but finding our favorite everyday makeup looks is the key to getting a flawless finish no matter what the occasion is. Maybe you find yourself constantly hitting snooze and rushing through a makeup routine before work every day (hi, sounds familiar). Maybe you’re always the last one to make it to brunch because you like to sleep in on the weekends (hi, also sounds familiar). Or maybe you just need a simple makeup look for running all the errands you’ve been pushing off (okay, I feel attacked). No matter how your days typically look, it’s good to have a few everyday makeup looks ready to roll when you’re in a rush. Here are our best looks.
The Nine-to-Five Fox
When we’re not watching beauty tutorials on Youtube or clicking “Add to Cart” on new products, we have to go to that little place called our jobs (*Cue 9 to 5 by Dolly Parton*). Ideally, we’d have all the time in the world to do a full makeup routine before work every day. But if you’re like us, you value your beauty sleep and you just want to cover the basics and look presentable for your first Monday meeting. Bring in the minimalist makeup routine that you can recreate each morning before work.
It all starts with acing your base. Use your favorite Beautyblender (be sure to wet it first!) to apply a moisturizing primer, full-coverage foundation, and creamy concealer to help bring tired eyes to life. This core trio of products is your secret weapon to flawless skin every morning. Bounce foundation is full-coverage so no one will know you were up late Netflix binging. By blending everything evenly with a damp BB, you can get a flawless finish without even picking up a brush. And since we’re going for a quick, minimalistic look, don’t stress about contouring. If you have a few extra minutes on your commute, feel free to add a touch of highlighter. But like we said, we’re going for quick wins here. Focus on acing your base and then go for the finishing touches like mascara and lipstick to make it look like you really tried (even if you didn’t).
The Belle of Brunch
Okay, so you made it through the work week and now it’s time for the best part of the weekend – brunch. Maybe you hit the town the night before and you’re feeling *slightly* unmotivated to do a full-glam makeup look. That’s okay – we’ve got a few tricks up our sleeves. First, wake up your skin with a little massage (there’s cooling rollerball tips built-in with some of our VIP makeup brushes). Focus on the under eyes to help get your blood flowing and reduce the appearance of dark circles and puffiness.
Once you’ve had a few minutes to wake up your skin, take your fave Beautyblender to wet, squeeze, and bounce primer and foundation on your complexion. Again, Bounce Foundation is a full-coverage formula with a velveteen matte finish – perfect for your brunch-inspired Insta pics. Since it’s the weekend and you (hopefully) have a few extra minutes for final touches, go for a subtle highlighter and contour to bring some dimension to your look. Our Beauty.Blusher is a great tool to add a simple glow to your cheekbones.
The Sunday Afternoon Stunner
You’ve worked all week and played all weekend – now it’s time to knock out some of those errands you’ve been putting off. We all need a minimalist makeup look that works for those weekend errands like hitting the grocery store (cc: Trader Joe’s and their cauliflower gnocchi) or running to the bank. Think of a “less-is-more” look – less makeup routine time gives you more time to cross off those items on your to-do list.
All you need is a primer to get your skin moisturized at the getgo. Try going for a tinted moisturizer for a bit of added color, or mix in your favorite foundation with it. We also recommend using a primer with SPF like our Selfie Shield Primer. That way, your skin is protected while you’re running around town without packing on a ton of product. Skip the contour, but add a dab of highlighter to your cheekbones and high points of your face so you can capture the light wherever you go in town. The most important part of this on-the-go look is setting spray. Refresh your look throughout the day by keeping your favorite setting spray in your purse or bag and get a hydrating boost wherever you are.
When you’re short on time but still looking for a flawless finish, these everyday makeup looks will help you achieve a pulled-together look no matter what day of the week it is. Don’t forget to use a Beautyblender in every step of your makeup routine to make all of these everyday makeup looks come to life in record time.
